Super Humans! Yes I said it humans with powers. The book Super Human by Micheal Carrol, is about... well super humans. They're teenagers just like us. There are three main characters Lance, Roz, and Abby. Lance is a thief or con. With a popular baseball star brother , he isn't popular and he likes it that way. Roz is a super human with telekinesis her brother and friends are too.Abby is also a super human but she works to help her family, she doesn't go to school and her mother is in a wheel chair.
One main character a teen can relate to is Abby. Abby has been working instead of going to school without her mother knowing. Her mother is in a wheel chair and the only one in her house working is her sister but it is not enough. For example, her sister says, “Why weren’t you in school? How long has this been going on?” that moment in the story is when Abby’s sister finds out she is been working. Abby’s mother is sick so that’s why she took it upon herself to start working.

I believe that teens can connect to this book. Obviously this
is just a book and teenagers don’t really have super abilities, but they do have
issues and bad decisions. Not only is this book a cool and interesting sci-fi,
but it introduces sci-fi readers to the lives of teens. Thus bringing more
notice to teenagers and what they go through in life. Lance and Abby are
perfect examples of teenage issues. I really hope teens read this so that know
that they know that their issues will be known, and help will come.
